Here's another exercise with their propaganda: look at all their materials and count the interracial couples! I'll give you time to do it because I'm sure there are plenty!

Why didn't they just get Pastor Ken Hutch to pose with his family? I'm sure he'd have done it for free.

And the non-white family that they use in the main part of the site is also clearly a stock image:

Well, if I were gonna go make a website that is to be at the center of a lot of controversy I'd go with stock photos too. What if people wanted to rescind the use of their likeness? That hassle is easily avoided by use of stock photos.

Not the point, I know, but why is an Austrian company called "Ameridesign"? Seems a little disingenuous...

Twins!

Separated at Birth!

Preserve Marriage Washington opposes polygamy....

Danny Savage opposes polygamy.

Weird.....

Am I the only one trying to figure out where to request petitions be sent in order to waste printing and shipping funds?

Porn shops?
The Stranger offices?
The city dump?

A stock photo could also mean the "family" isn't even a family, but a group of models hired for the day.

And here I was hoping you'd tell me one of the models was gay...

The logo looks like the reverse of Green River's "Come On Down" EP.

It's not as bad as the Reject R71 signs, but these are just as corny.

Why does Dan have so little to say about marriage equality in our state? He usually has no shortage of words... and yet he's strangely silent. Could it be his long hatred of Jamie "butter doesn't melt in your butt" Pedersen? Just curious.

Pro tip: want to pick and choose who uses your photos? DON'T submit them to a stock photo database. See, it's a database of stock photos. See?

Not clear on the concept, apparently.

Pro-marriage equality folks can use the same photo, they just have to pay the same fee. Why not crib the logo but change the words?

@5 Maybe they specialize in marketing themes that have an American flavor? That cowboys-and-indians stuff used to be a big seller. I'm just pulling this idea out of my butt...

I don't see the company saying they are demanding that the website stop using their photo. They are just making their position on the issue clear which makes perfect sense to me. They don't want to be seen as endorsing Preserve Marriage Washington. So all the indignation of people posting "well why put it on a stock photo site" is pretty pointless.
