An analysis of what may have happened here:…

It is pretty obvious that she meant to say "radical environmentalist policies" as that was clearly the context and she said "radical environmentalists" in the same utterance, but it's also pretty obvious that she's one of those who can't say "Islam" without the adjective "radical" before it, and that "radical Islam" is probably a phrase she says a lot.

Wait - how does believing in global warming or not believing in global warming change one's Christian faith?

Sounds like she misspoke the whole time.

Still, Interesting that Santorum felt that he needed to do some damage control on his original statement. What - just now he realizes that his balloons have too much lead to fly?

I really want to know how the interviewer responded to that. I was waiting to hear a record scratch.

That only works with the segment of the population that already believes that.
Once they get to the real election, they will have to convince the rest of the voters that they really did "misspeak" all those times. And that they don't really believe the stuff that they said on camera.

It's good for getting the base to vote but it's bad for getting anyone not in the base to vote for you.

If you have to "explain" the sound bite then you've already lost that battle.

So this dangerously deluded moron (or lying bag of shit, take your pick) seems to think global warming isn't real? You know who does? Science. So to hell with her, her frothy boss. Republicans in general and their fucking stupid and malevolent supporters. It's time Liberals recognized Republicans for what they are: traitors who demonstrably ruin America with their selfish, stupid and crazy ideas.

of course she meant what she said the first time.

santorum's campaign has learned that you get twice the milk from the "i misspoke" method of messaging. you get to say something, get attention for how inflammatory/stupid it is, then you get to say it again, only this time slightly altered.

they've done it with contraception, woman in combat, obama=hitler and obama=muslim.

twice the exposure with only half the brains.

Not entirely sure she didn't mean to drop that one in. Remember that the code is never hidden.

-global warmists
-secularism = religious theology
-?? = radical environmentalism
-president = radical islamic

another attempt at trying to reframe reality to their own 13th century views. they have just as much in common with islamic theocrats as anything else.

Of course Ann Coulter's slightly more fleshed Stepford clone meant to say, 'radical environmentalist policies.' Not a doubt in my mind that's what she meant to say. But the dichotomy betweenwhat she meant and what she said is interesting. Most of Freud has been pretty thoroughly debunked, but Freudian Slips are telling.

Aaron Huffman 2
Did she say "global warmists"?
Posted by Aaron Huffman on February 20, 2012 at 2:25 PM · Report this
By "misspoke" she means she didn't mean to say that in that venue, not that she didn't mean it. People who don't think the President is a secret Muslim don't misspeak that way.
