"Ninfa" is an odd name. Reminds me of "Nympha", the woman who lived in our house before us. Folks just don't name their daughters Nympha anymore for some reason.
I would think that writing your own obituary would be how you would be assured it read the way you wanted it to. I don't see it as being any different than someone planning their own funeral ( my parents have done this, I wouldn't be at all surprised if my father has several drafts of his obit written--he's a writer, it just makes sense).
So my take is that Josie was good and pissed off at Peter and Ninfa, and took that to the grave with her. My business law instructor did a lot of probate work, he always said that in every family there is the 'good' child who cares for the parents, and the 'bad' child or children who lead their own lives and are demonized for it when the parents pass.

that looks more like her grandchild, banna. if josie was 94 when she died, and ninfa graduated from high school in 1985, josie would have been 51 at her birth.
