Let's get this fucking clear:

The Palins are -=*/NOT/*=- one of "America's most high-profile families." And what little "fame" they haven't squandered yet is self-manufactured by them doing stupid shit and media outlets insisting that we pay attention to them.

@1- AMEN !! The Palin's are nothing but media whores. We as Americans NEED TO STOP WATCHING. Only then will they go away...

For the life of me I cannot imagine that any network would think this girl and her bizarre media-whore life would be of interest to anyone. Who is going to watch that? How is that profitable for them? Soo confused....

How many trans-rectal ultrasounds will it take to find a molecule of brains between these 16 grifting inbred fuckwits?

Find out on tonight's thrilling episode of The Wasilla Hillbillies.

@3: "I cannot imagine that any network would think this girl and her bizarre media-whore life would be of interest to anyone. Who is going to watch that? "

Enough yokels on both sides of the political spectrum to make a profit. It costs very little to produce.

@3,

Lots of people love a train wreck.

This show will fail if it *doesn't* make Bristol et al look like a bunch of inbred morons. I'm certain that's why Sarah's "reality" show failed.

How does one "forge her own way" while being a member of "America’s [alleged] most high-profile families"?

And what @7 said: I'm sure access will be too controlled to make this even remotely interesting to someone who'd watch this sort of thing. Unless Bret Michaels plays her dad, it's going to tank.

So a woman who preaches abstinence only "birth control" ends up with a daughter who is pregnant out-of-wedlock.

The daughter gives birth to the kid and Grandma is in the middle of a media buzz which brings lots of money into the family.

So, see the kid of the now wealthy family raise her out-of-wedlock kid "forging her own way in the world" with the help of her now wealthy family. Will she spend the money on diapers or the car payment? Or both?

All the while "living under the constant spotlight" of which this series will take part in. Watch as our camera crew films them being filmed by a different camera crew in unscripted situations.

Fnarf, if you could arrange for a time machine to make that happen exactly 11 years and 338 days ago (math?), I'd watch that show.

"where daily she faces the many pressures of raising her toddler son Tripp alone"

I bet them a million dollars this is 110% a lie. I bet that's more money than they're paying here, WHICH ALSO MEANS SHE'S NOT DOING IT ALONE. Dear TV box, if you pay me a shit ton of money to follow me around with a camera for months on end I AM NO LONGER RAISING A CHILD BY MYSELF. As someone who was raised by a single mom, this is fucking insulting.

If anyone here watches the shitty show "to see what she does next!" and pumps up its ratings, I will track you down and run you over with a snowmachine.
