Rachel covered the inherent bullshit behind the contention that the Democrats have been moving away from the center last night, complete with charts from voteview.com/blog. Why are you linking to the Christian Science Monitor's provably false "it's both sides" story?

Well, it's nice to see that the state is happy to throw more money at standardized testing companies rather than directly to schools.

Based on the number of knocks on my door I get from their missionaries, I'd say the Mormon bloc here in Kent could carry the day.

Montana's chief federal judge is an ignorant asshole who needs to resign because his judgement is seriously impaired.

For everyone too lazy to look it up, the joke Judge Cebull enthusiastically forwarded to his friends basically calls Obama's mom a dog-fucking slut:

"A little boy said to his mother, 'Mommy, how come I’m black and you’re white?' His mother replied, "Don’t even go there Barack! From what I can remember about that party, you’re lucky you don’t bark!'"

Hilarious, right? Trust me, this one is going to kill at the next Tea Party Patriots rally. Which is apparently the demographic from which Dubya selected his nominees to the federal bench.

There are still plenty of congressional centrists. They just all have a D after their names.
