What these people are doing makes me ashamed for my generation.

Shame about the black lady, ruins liberal's belief that to be a real black person you must believe in welfare.

You know, when I caucused for the Dems in the U-District in 2008, aside from all of the college students, most of the other people there were older. Maybe that demographic is likelier overall to participate in this kind of political action?

Haha yeah because this is totally different from the Democratic party!

Looks like a polite and hard working group of folks. Would be happy to have them as neighbors.

I hear the Democrat caucus will be held at Rainier Ave and Henderson at 2am. Be sure to leave your valuables at home.

At first I giggled because they're looking at each other's papers as though they're trying to cheat on a final, and then I cried.

@9 Actually we're more afraid you'll take our lawns and give them to supposed 'vulnerable' communities who will then let weeds run amok and make our lawns unlivable and useless to anyone. Thereby making all equal.

The Democrat caucus will bring out its two wings too: those who use the state to confiscate your private property and those who take it from you on a Metro bus at 11am while riding down MLK.

It's nice to see people participating in politics, and heart-warming to imagine how many of them will have met their maker (sadly they will find out that their maker was chance) by the time the next election comes around.

What time do they have their rituals, you know, the raping of a woman followed by forcing her to carry the "unfortunate gift from God" to term, followed by not paying child support, followed by denying her any form of healthcare along the way?

" the raping of a woman followed by forcing her to carry the "unfortunate gift from God" to term, followed by not paying child support, followed by denying her any form of healthcare along the way?"

Can I find a single example of that in Washington State?

Every one is "Older". Older than you were yesterday so shut the firetruck up. Yeah they're white, maybe because Black folk can't be bothered to get involved? That's an option too. STOP slamming those that get involved.

I went as a spy. Got elected as a delegate. Signed in for Santorum. Took the Glen Anderson marriage equality speech as my guide for how to talk. I took the left side to some extent of every issue we discussed and tried to spin it as a conservative issue. And candidate wise only argued against Romney. Got at least one person to change from Romney to Gingrich in the straw poll, which is progress if not perfect. My precinct ended up 4 Gingrich, 1 Frothy, 0 Romney, 0 Paul. I'm calling it a thorough win. I'm absolutely amazed that at no time did anyone question the issues I was raising and the fact I had signed in for Santorum, but hey, it was hilarious throughout.

I was wondering where in Everett i would have to go but I couldn't find it and so never went. Which is probably a good thing as I probably couldn't pull off being a "spy" very well.

It's beginning to sound like half the people this morning were spies.

@13, are yuo the one with the spiked hair in the upper right hand corner? That's either you, another mole, or a Ron Paul type. I don't really see him in a sweater vest other than on Halloween.

@19, it's the Republican Party platform, all the GOP presidential hopefuls are advocating it, Romney flip flopped on it two days ago, Santorum bad mouthed him about it, Newt is looking for a way to act it out as part of his "Southern Strategy".

@26, no, but I wondered about him as well. I decided we should have come up with a secret handshake or something!

I love how as I continue to live longer than I deserve jokes about old folks carry more of a delicious sting for me each year. Bear in mind the seniors take the foreground in Eli's photo because it's probably no picnic for them to clamber up where the people Eli's age are sitting. Arthritis, har har.

I went as a mole too. Caucused for Santorum. I got elected to be an alternate delegate. I'm in the picture too. I wonder how many underground delegates were picked today. Perhaps the finally story isn't told.

What ageist horse shit is this? It's not even an accurate description of the picture since over half of the people in that picture are probably under 50?

The last acceptable bigotry, indeed. You know the last Democratic caucus I was at there was an incredible level of thankless participation by cute little old white ladies serving cookies and coffee.
