the video of the solar flares gave me chills. the sun is a crackling and pulsing plasma forge that imbues life on earth with an infinitesimal fraction of its chaotic energy. however, it's trite to apply a political philosophy to the entity that is basis for our entirely perceived reality.

How often do things fly into the sun? Why don't we see pictures of that more often?

It's a giant source of mass, right? Certainly something in our solar system moves in an imperfect orbit.
