"any obligation to PROVE -anything- to you"

Hey, that's what I said when I called Occupy Seattle a group of festering boils on the backside of humanity. I even had the photos to prove it.

Paranoia often happens because actual incidents. The PTB are getting backed into corners, expect more surprising tactics in the future!
PS
Trolls: you are so absolutely naive if you think -any woman- or anyone for that matter is under any obligation to PROVE -anything- to you, This is a little blog not a federal courthouse. Get lost, and get over it.

Actually Finklebumster, your fauxhawk is on fire after all the lies you spread about Jennifer Pox.

#16 happysunshine nailed it. SPD & Homeland Security blew their budget on new SUVs & pension checks, they can't put resources into hate crimes why do you think they would bother with pre- crimes? Believe me there are enough assholes in OS that infiltrators & spooks just aren't necessary.

I love how American serfs think they actually have Rights.

Only Corporations, which are People, have rights.

"so who's watching the watchers?"

This exact quote came up in an episode of Highlander, and let me tell you, the results were not pretty!

@17 Ian finkelwanker, where's the evidence of Jennifer Fox's miscarriage you promised? Is it paranoid if it's not true.

Maybe you should take that purple gerbil you pulled from your ass and glued to your head and set him free.

I'm more worried about Google, Comcast and Verizon -- way more organized, better resourced and none of those pesky constitutional issues to get in their way.

" Occupy needs to assume everyone voting against non-violence at a GA is a cop or snitch. "

Or a fucking buddhist!

Based on history since the 1960s, if you are participating in any kind of political or social movement*, you can safely make two assumptions:

1. You are under surveillance by law enforcement

2. The most radical individuals in your group, encouraging violence or property destruction, are either law enforcement officers or snitches.

It astounds me when Occupy or Islamic or environment groups don't take these points in account from the start for their movement and their own personal protection. Occupy needs to assume everyone voting against non-violence at a GA is a cop or snitch.

*Of course, I mean outside of the Republican party, Christianity, and the Democratic party most of the time.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean...

Could be coincidence. Could be the government monitoring someone or thing seeking to overthrow the government. Could be... lack of medication.

Have the Occupiers put down the lit torches (literally) and has the GA finally agreed to officially foreswear "acts of violence?"

A good chunk of the core protesters are basically violent leftist radicals who think the Democratic system absolutely needs to be destroyed and re-built to their leftist standards, that alone should be a reason to keep tabs on the group. But the protesters have given local governments specific reasons for their surveillance.

People who call for a socialist revolution, people who turn a blind eye to property destruction by their own members, people who's idea is to bleed the local governments budgets dry by flooding the courts and forcing police overtime, people who refuse to compromise on the most trivial petty shit, should naturally find themselves under the magnifying lens of the government, they should not feel shocked our outraged as their bullshit has gone on long enough.

Anyone who undertakes "radical" political action (and the definition of radical is pretty wise in scope) and doesn't expect to be spied on by the State is an idiot.

Me, I don't much care, tho it will be interesting to see if I'm allowed back into the USA (on account of my half arsed online political opinionating).

You should have jumped up and asked him all about his camera. Plunder him with camera/lens/tech questions. If he was using a canon tell him that you love nikon and all the reason why nikon is better than canon. And of course vis-versa if he was using nikon.

@1 Couldn't find another mass murderers name to adopt or you enjoy a name that reflects your idiotic mindset and ramblings?

250,000 new jobs a month kids, time to freshen up those resumes. But be sure to skip those parts from October-November 2011 ("Hung out at SCCC, some lots of pot, rallied against some things, tried to end capitalism, showed no leadership skills, married a building, got crabs").

Just tell recruiters you were taking care of a sick relative.

@1, to say Cold War-era East German and Soviet citizens lived under conditions similar to ours insults the state-sponsored misery, torture, imprisonment and fear so many millions endured. I appreciate that your desire to warn us against modern day domestic police abuses may be genuine, but I don't think it is necessary for you to lie about the historical record to do so. The end does not justify your means right there.

On the other hand these individuals and groups have in the past intentionally disrupted things they have no business disrupting and have made clear their intention to do so again in the future. I can see why the police might ask them a couple questions or attending a meeting open to the public. But there is a fine line between that and infiltrating or disrupting lawful activities.

But then both SPD and Occupy are a bunch of liars half the time so who the hell knows what is really going on.

Pol Pot 1
I grew up during the height of the cold war. Police state repression and tactics such as this were constantly offered to us as the primary reason why the USSR and it's satellite states were evil and dangerous, and the alleged lack of these tactics here in the alleged "Land of the Free" was given as prima facie proof of our "freedom". Lies, damned lies. We are no more free than an East German or Soviet citizen was in the 70's. And we never were.
