Actually, we shifted some census categories, so the mapping is not 1:1 and a lot of us in the West are multi-racial, if you must know.

A non-scientific anecdotal data point: the last time we came through customs and immigration at LAX we got there simultaneously with at least four 747s from Thailand, Vietnam, and China, each stuffed to the rafters with people, each carrying two coffin-sized suitcases full of all their worldly goods, which meant the line was nearly three hours long. That's a big immigration hall there, and it was packed. I got the impression it was a pretty typical weeknight too.
