I not only love looking at what other people are reading, but when I chose books to be read in public, I chose them based on how other people will judge me. I may read Grisham in the privacy of my own home, but on public transportation, I make a point of carrying around more interesting books. :) Thanks for the link. That site is great.

You can also look at their Kindle pages...or GoodReads.com

Right now I'm reading Good Guys, Wiseguys, and Putting Up Buildings: A Life in Construction.

Scientific papers, mostly. Download them in bulk and read them on the bus and at home.

The wonderful part of being an alumni is free access to all the research journals.

I'm reading octogenarian Scotty Bowers' delicious "Full Service: My Adventures in Hollywood and the Secret Sex Lives of the Stars".

One of the big downsides with Ebooks is that you don't know what the person across the aisle from you on the El or the bus is reading. An opening for a "Great book, I edited that" (I actually have been able to do that several times), or just some potboiler? Cannot tell on Kindle. . .
