if you want interesting and nerdy wordplay without the braggadocious-ness, give Princess Superstar's frequent collaborator, MC Paul Barman, a try.
He may not be female, but his jewish ivy league language arts rhymes about pro-choice/feminism/art scenes/anti-circumcision/whatever other silly shit he wants to throw your way may just tickle your fancy.

I was also going to recommend MC Paul Barman. If you like nerdy rappers, you would love him.

Listening to Princess Superstar in 2012 is like being waterboarded; except instead of feeling like you are going to die, you hope that you are going to die so that the torture ends.

Aw, I liked it, but you guys would probably pass out if you saw my iTunes. Funky beats be funky. I'm going to check out MC Paul Barman too.

p.s. I love everything about this series.

What 1 and 2 said. I've been wondering what was up with Mr. Barman of late.

@5 - he released that second full length, but only digitally. it's called "thought balloon mushroom cloud." i'm not as big of a fan on the production on it, but it still has interesting and solid rhymes. it has also grown on me with every listen.

Thanks, found it on his site - http://www.mcpaulbarman.com/ - and am listening right now. Good stuff. I love that he raps about owl pellets, science, circumcision, and AIDS.

Ugh, no no and no to Paul Barman. Try Boom Bip and Doseone.
