Geez Goldy, how can we expect Bailo to butt-in with his incessant whinging, if you're going to beat him to it and post his favorite (un)employment meme ahead of time?

The unemployment rate is going to keep falling, but at an increasingly slow rate. The problem is that a huge chunk of that extra 5% of the jobs lost (unemployment being at a steady 5% before the crash) were businesses laying off employees in panic during the downturn.

They are now increasing their workforce to the pre-2008 levels, but would likely stop around there, if not lower because now they have found they can still be as productive with less workers.

As long as unemployment dips below 8% and stays there until the election, Obama basically has it in the bag. He can honestly say he as almost halved the 5% unemployment increase during his term.

@2 was your comment directed at me? When I said "bummer" I meant, "Darn, because poorer than expected job numbers will make it harder for Obama, whom I support, to be reelected." The only Fox news I see is when I'm visiting in-laws or when I see clips on the Daily Show.

Here's a take home from this: If you worked in Residential Construction, find a new job.

We were in a Housing Bubble. Those people could not afford the houses we built, hence the problem. As the population ages, demand for Super Monster Mansions will ... DECREASE ... and that means less demand for that.

People used to live 4-10 in a house the size of your kitchen. Get used to Americans adjusting back to smaller places.

Aw but in the lone star state its a different story just go to the bottom of the link and see what citys got something to brag about? Even Charlotte NC can brag as they took some Boeing jobs from Washington State.

Adult workforce shrinking as people drop out. Benefitted jobs dropping like a stone. McJobs, part-time stringer jobs, and not many of those, either. This is crap economic news, not something for Obama to go beating the drum about.
