It's true, Ted! There is nothing quite so racist as infringing on your right to assassinate a duly elected President.

You incredible idiot.

He got the Nazi Klan rally part right, but Ted Nugent is not a black Jew.

Why do you mention his "aging"? If he were 25 and said the same thing would you be so ageist?

Or, as Tagg Romney (Mitt Romney's son) put it:

"Ted Nugent endorsed my Dad today. Ted Nugent? How cool is that?! He joins Kid Rock as great Detroit musicians on team Mitt!"

Ted Nugent having extensive experience equivalent to the plight of the black man in the Klan-era South. Or even current day violence.

Hey Ted...you´ve got mail: A Charles Manson writes, he would be delighted to meet you, wants to talk to you about something called Helter Skelter...And someone form Norway asks if you want to become his pen pal, says he knows how it feels when everybody calls you insane for wanting to protect your country from liberal multikulti Nazi-Marxists

Jus' tellin' it like it is! Jus' tellin' it like it is! Jus' tellin' it like it is! A universal cop-out for any sort of bigoted or antagonistic or idiotic statement someone wants to make. Just claim you're tellin' it like it is and who can honestly get mad?

There's been a lot of talk in recent months about Republicans practicing dog-whistle politics, but they're not even bothering with the dog whistles any more. True, Nugie isn't a politician--he's a private (if somewhat famous) citizen, but he's using his forum to spout racist nonsense in support of Romney, who is declining to comment. The best he could muster against Limbaugh calling Sandra Fluke a whore was saying "It's not the language I would have chosen." Meanwhile, other Republicans are red-baiting, trying to repeal child labor laws, attacking both abortion and contraception, critizing adoptive parents, criticizing women who work outside the home, going after teh gays, and bemoaning the loss of a nation in which White people made all the decisions for everybody else. What century is this, exactly, and why are the Republicans trying to lead us back to 1962?

The second concert I ever went to was Ted, I was 12 or 13, the first being Joan Jett. Ted was also probably the worst concert I ever went to. He couldn't stop talking about "dog dicks", and even as a young lad I found this fixation to be very strange.

Should Obama have been held responsible for "God Damn America?"

I haven't followed Nugent's career. Apparently, though, in addition to his racism and gun fixation, Ted is also a pedophile.

And it seems that he got out of the Vietnam draft by living in the same pair of pants for the entire week before his draft physical. That's "entire week" as in never even pulling them down to piss and shit.

@27- "Linguistic sins"

Seriously?

You'll hold people accountable for "linguistic sins" rather than deal with the meaning of the complete paragraph in which a phrase exists? That's mental laziness on an epic scale.

The next time the Righties make a fuss about a comment by a Dem, we should all just yawn. The Hilary Rosen comment about Mrs. Romneybot was so overblown last week, but we get nada from the Righties about Nugent this week except defense.

Reader01, I don't think anyone thinks Nugent is literally and truthfully a Romney surrogate. But that's exactly the language that was used with Jeremiah Wright or the recent Hilary Rosen mess. People are putting it that way as a bitterly sarcastic commentary on the gap in how the two similar things are being reported.

So the answer to "Why should Mitt be held responsible but not Obama?" is "The press DOES hold Obama responsible for every idiotic thing one of his supporters says, why is Slog the only outlet treating Romney the same way?"

Listen, Ted Nugent is not Romney's minister. Romney may very well despise the Nuge. There's a world of difference.
