#2, not necessarily. i went to silver platters in bellevue and it was pretty chill, plus they had 15% off all records except rsd releases. not a bad deal if you ask me.
15% off at Silver Platters, 20% off at Jive Time. Mrs. Fnarf and I brought back a huge armload. Only a couple of official RSD releases. Best picks: Yusef Lateef on Prestige, whacked-out Latin Soul comp on Vampisoul, Bud Shank "Holiday in Brazil", couple of CDs by Ute Lemper, Buffalo Philharmonic doing Xenakis and Penderecki, Pearls Before Swine on ESP-DISK, Lonnie Smith's first LP "Finger-Lickin' Good" before he became a Sikh. RSD specials were the Gene Clark and Dillard & Clark 45s and the, ahem, Buck Owens Coloring Book with flexi (who still makes flexis?) recorded live in the White House in 1968.
