Taylor Swift as Joni Mitchell, Lindsey Lohan as Elizabeth Taylor... what's next, Brittney Spears as Aretha Franklin?

Courtney Love, of course.
She actually is a bit more normal and predictable than Mitchell, but I am guessing she could fake the psychosomatic disease where you see colored threads inside your skin and itch til you get em out, and she could definitely portray the coke paranoia pretty well, too.

I think Courtney could make us believe the last minute phone call, the night before the Carnegie Hall concert, in her honor, cancelling because her cat is sick, too.

I suppose this idea has me more irrationally upset than I should be, but I want a Joni Mitchell biopic to be fan-fucking-tastic. Taylor Swift??

I agree with #6, John Kelly is amazing. I also think #8's Courtney Love would be a good choice.

Jesse Sykes could be a home run.

Ah! If she can/wants to act she would make the movie!

I actually agree with @9. Riki Lindhome psychally resembles a young Joni Mitchell and she can act. Vocally, she's good, but maybe not quite up to Joni's level, but who thought that Joaquin Phoenix could do Johnny Cash?

Anyone but Taylor Swift. Anyone but Taylor Swift. Anyone but Taylor Swift. As a Canadian, I would consider shitting up a Joni Mitchell biopic as an act of war between our peoples.

Joni Mitchell in every photo and piece of footage I ever saw came off very stiff and reserved. I dunno if there isn't more Taylor Swift in her than Joni's cult following might care to accept
