Election years call for a smartphone bullshit meter, too.

That's all well and good, but do they have smart toilets that measure the radioactivity of your urine?

No?

They will.

If this is not Snopes bait, it's actually a good idea for a couple of reasons:

1. It'd teach folks about the everyday radiation we all encounter and maybe allow some perspective other than horror.

2. The real concerns of Fukishima radiation and contamination (air, water, food) are basically being ignored by the people over here who are supposed to pay attention and give us a heads up. It'd be nice to personally monitor the radiation in my salmon and tuna, thank you very much.

Oh and also too:: There's MOX fuel (contains plutonium) in No. 4 with a half-life of forever as far as humans are concerned. A speck, if inhaled, is automatic cancer.

How about a smartphone that monitors your voting registration status? so that when FL Gov. Rick Scott challenges your citizenship, you can stay registered...

Godzilla detectors have been in phones since Softbank (then J-Phone) introduced them in 2002. These detectors and the Godzilla Jouhou (情報) Information System Manager (Godzilla JISM) saved countless lives in the Godzilla: Tokyo S.O.S. disaster of 2003 and the Final Wars of 2004.

Godzilla has not appeared in Japan since.

There is no way that a phone could physically measure radiation levels. Not possible unless it was the size of an 80's cell. This is almost as shameless as those commercials that advertise the Bin Laden death commemorative coin.

@10, see the links @4, in which the CMOS sensor of the phone's camera is employed. Your knee-jerk skepticism interferes with understanding.

Whatever, my Pip-Boy already has a Geiger counter in it, and the sweetest GPS system I have ever seen.
