Good for them.

Where were the two mormon boys at this year's Fremont Solstice Naked Bicycle Ride? No-shows after two straight years.

Will Josh Weed be marching with them? Or does he believe that a truly transcendent parade experience involves avoiding parades?

re: that ol’ time re-LIE-gion

I’m still waiting for someone in this nation of sadistic, slack-jawed, aggresively ignorant, hate-crazed, glassy-eyed, right-wing, mouth-breathing, braying, neo-fascist submorons to explain in a coherent, non-tongue-talking manner, precisely how my long-term relationship poses an imminent nukyular threat to anyone else’s marriage.

Tick freakin’ tock.

On our local NPR station, a survey a foundation in Baton Rouge conducted showed that 48% of people in Baton Rouge favored marriage equality, while 42% opposed it.

Even here in the heart of the Bible belt, views are changing. Granted, you would get a very different result in some of the rurual parishes, but the tide is turning.

Thank you to those brave Catholics and Mormons who are willing to stand up and be counted. And they are brave because boy, will they hear about it next time they go to church.

Standing up for what's right and fair - always a good choice.

We're welcoming the Mormons into gay parades, but, here in Utah, the 'mos are still forbidden from openly participating in the Mormon parade (24th of July/"Pioneer Day" in Salt Lake City.)

Baby steps, right?

"Most Americans support gay marriage—"

which is why so many states have voted to legalize homosexual "marriage".

right, dom?

what is the tally up to now, lets see, oh yes, ZERO.....

@11: Where did you learn to count? I make the tally six states, plus D.C. and two tribal governments.

@9 What else can you expect from a place where there is no separation of church and state? The 24th is a religious holiday owned by the Mormon church and supported by the fireworks companies. (And for anyone wondering where Romney gets his Romnesia from, one just needs to look at the Mormon pioneer history.....they conveniently forget massacres and everything.)

I was happy to see the Mo's in the gay pride parade and the church is the one that looks bad by not allowing an equal exchange. I suspect that when this next round of conservative white man elders dies off, there will be some changes.

@13: Where did you learn to type? You were talking about the states that have voted to approve same-sex marriage. Six states, the District of Columbia, and two tribal governments have. Q.E.D.
