Justice Thomas cites three cases - two from concurring opinions (not the actual holding opinion), and one from a dissent.

He wrote all three opinions from which he cited.

That's some judicial masturbation right there.

I've always had a disdain for that Geechi Uncle Tom.

Having read more than my fair share of Supreme Court decisions, this fills me with a certain appreciation for Justice Thomas.

Not that I like Thomas, but this is really an unfair criticism. It is not uncommon for one Justice to write the bulk of a dissent, and for another Justice to add a short addendum, just to clarify one particular point.

Thank you for the foot-stomping laugh. God, I hate that guy (even Scalia has some smarts to him but he's also a blowhard).

@4 Except this is absolutely par for the course for Thomas.

Among law students I've known, Thomas is notorious for authoring opinions that are brief and non-illuminating.

Also: it has been SIX YEARS since Thomas asked a question during oral arguments.

@11 Wait, he actually HAS said something from the bench at one time?

And let's not forget that his lovely, lovely wife Virginia was head of an organization working to defeat the ACA. One of the deep pleasures of this whole thing is watching her and her rich little group go down in flames.
