He's such a hero. When I was going through a bad patch his writings about his brush with suicide were immensely helpful.

Fry did a two part series on the BBC last year called 'the secret life of the manic depressive', where he talks about that incident among other that lead him to be diagnosed (link posted below to full show). Glad to see him back on stage, and back behind the desk for the tenth season of Q.I.

I wish I could tell him how I love him and nothing he ever does could be wrong. I'm a fan for life.

Stephen Fry fans might be interested in a radio documentary he did for BBC Radio 4 about being gay in prison, which aired yesterday and is on the BBC iPlayer; most programs are available for a week after broadcast, which would give you six days.

Fry fans can watch a British sitcom called "Kingdom" for free on Hulu. Fry plays the eponymous main character, a small-town soliciter who tries to bring some reason and sense to his own umwillingly chaotic life as well as for his quirky clients.

Walking out mid-performance and not returning for upwards of 15 years? Sounds like the rumpled hero of my favorite Canadian TV show!
