Looks better than 90% of action movies. At least.

Huh, with some actual real actors. That boss guy looked familiar; the girl was from Narnia; the Chief's voice is really familiar.

The guy who does Medea is in a rocking action flik.

Just saying.

Oh, and it turns out that APOE 4 impacts your ability to play Halo in your 70s and later. In addition to possibly giving you Alzheimer's. It's the whole visuospatial thing.

Could not agree more. The universe is totally filmable and the mythos is really, really interesting. They could pull it off even without Master Chief, really, but he's such a good character that they wouldn't dare.

Oh please Dear GOD don't let them turn HALO into a Hetero love story.

This isn't the first time they've done something cool to prep for a Halo movie, either. Way back at the beginning of Halo 2, they had the I Love Bees event, which was really the first mainstream Alternate Reality Game (it is now a played-out tradition).

A central component of the I Love Bees game was the audioplay that came with it. It's still around, and still excellent, if cheesily voice-acted in parts:

Hey, I know!

Let's do Halo 5: The Cloud Atlas Episodes!

(by the way, I enjoyed the action sequences in Cloud Atlas)

And wow, right on cue, another great example of the Halo universe realized with suitable skill and budget: http://www.halowaypoint.com/en-US/Univer…

It premiered on Jimmy Fallon's show last night, and was produced by David Fincher (the director of Fight Club and The Social Network) and directed by Tim Miller (who did the visual effects for Scott Pilgrim).
