Haven't seen Life of Pi yet - hopefully soon! - but Silver Linings Playbook was awful. I'm an Oscar buff but not a Russell fan, so if you loved The Fighter, go for it. If not, Anna Karenina was really interesting, Lincoln is incredible, The Perks of Being a Wallflower is surprisingly great and Looper is wonderful too. Lots of good movies to see this year.

Have you officially reviewed Life of Pi yet? I loved the book, but cannot imagine a decent movie being made of it since so much of the book was in the head (well, that can be said for so many books and movies). I don't really want to see the movie because I know I'll be pissed off, but curiousity, you know.

Red Dawn, good if you want to see how movies expect to compete with MMPG...by becoming them!

Life of PI...yeah, read the book, and expected the same from the movie.

Just saw "Looper" at a second run theater in Fort Collins..it's what would happen if you spliced together "Primer" with "Inception"....Yippie Yi-Yo Ki Yay Time Traveling Muthafukkaas.
