At Austin City Limits a couple of years ago, I sat and watched The Dough Rollers simply because it was Harrison Ford's son and Gabriel Byrne's son. And because I they were described as Americana, roots style music and they had a female fiddler in the picture. It was just the 2 dudes tho, and while they weren't bad....it seemed like they were definitely trying too hard to sound rootsy and hoarse and Tom Waits-esque.
Indio Downey comes legitimately by his musical talent. His mother is the bluesy singer Deborah Falconer (two albums) and his father (who lip-synched Singing Detective) has his own album out, The Futurist. He sings on the credits in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Too Much Sun (directed by his father Robert Downey Sr). The Seems drummer is related to Victor Indrizzo, so actually they do have some chops. But they are young and still finding their voice.

So the band has some creds but are still finding their voice. Maybe another time.
