I was deeply disappointed in the authors of I-502 when they did not recognize the date earlier and set it instead of the day after as the first day for legal geef.

@1 - It has to do with the certification process of the election, not the way the initiative was written. This is as happy a coincidence that could have been hoped for without planning for it.
