I have heard that most of the kids committing these murders were on some form of antidepressants...is that true?

There's some story drifting around right wing web sites about a 16 year old welfare mother who gives one of her boys psychotropic drugs so he can get disability.

Oh, well, if you 100% guarantee it, random woman in the crowd lacking any credentials and incapable of stringing a sentence together, then that must be "the big problem" leading to gun violence! Let's also take another look into that whole "vaccines cause autism" thing while we're at it!

Having went to school in the 80's and 90's I knew ONE kid on medication. And he WAS crazy as fuck. Is there any firm numbers on juvenile pyscotropic dosing say from 1980 - now?

Back in those days the worst mag, say Hustler or Swank would be laughable compared to what you can see with the flick of your fingertips today. No Ogrish, YNC, etc, no snuff vids. The video games were lame as shit, so you were outside with your friends all day. TV back then would be considered sterile today. Much like when I was watching 50's black and white re-runs.

Now, by the time you are 12 you probably have seen it all. America is a way over-medicated society.

Gun enthusiasts: I can't hear your rational, logic arguments over the sound of the crazy. You're going to have to tone down your insanity A LOT before I can hear you.

Anti-depressants and other legal drugs have been linked to almost every one of these suburban rampages. This isn't some right wing meme either; CounterPunch has been all over this for years now. The welfare fraud stuff though, that's a little retarded.

That's why conservatives want abortion to be illegal; otherwise, who would they blame their problems on?

It could not be more instructive of the mind set of the Republican party that this Baptist minister spent most of his career directing the education of Oklahoma's young people at Oklahoma's largest summer camp truly believe black mothers in need of public assistance to help raise their children are to blame for gun violence in this country. In the first place, it's not true. Particularly when it comes to the mass killings made possible by military sized gun magazines, the criminals are mostly white, but even when it comes to black on black crime, the view is hugely delusional. It is true the number of young black men committing murder is substantially disproportionate to their percentage in the population, and it is also true they primarily kill each other, but to lay the blame on their mothers is so false, and so cruel and un-Christian, in so many ways. Number 1, those mothers, next to their sons, are the main victims of black on black crime. Who suffers more? Number 2, certainly the poverty in which these mothers' struggle is the number one factor which drive their sons into the available crimes of opportunity in which violence is so prevalent, but it is not these mothers who created this environment, again, they are its victims. Number 3, food stamps are only cause for their circumstance if your view is let them starve, the fewer the better means less violence. Is that your view, Reverend Lankford? If it's not, could you please explain how blaming "welfare moms" offers any solution to the problem, how it's anything but racist and cruel? The saddest part is he, and they, really believe it, and have nothing else to offer or accept as a solution.
