Also, to be fair to Paul, he'll question his own salary because it's paid by the Federal Government.
On things like this, he's a douche, but he's a consistent douche, and he was still the only senator to vote "nay" on the renewal of The Patriot Act, and he's been at the forefront of the internet privacy fight (on the privacy side), as well as other important civil liberty issues.
With Paul, the bad isn't that bad, and the good, as infrequent as it may be, is pretty important, and occasionally a side on which Paul finds himself standing completely alone. So, you take the one with the other.
His constituents could stand to drop the whole asshole thing, though.
