But the bullet in the chamber doesn't kill people, it's bad people who kill people, which is why the only defense against a bad person with a bullet in the chamber is a good person with a bullet in the chamber.

Gun nuts--er, Second Amendment Freedom Fighters, teach your women to have their bullets in the chamber when they come home, in case you mistake them for a burglar or just want to kill them. Stat!

Good Morning Charles,
Good idea for Nike to retire that ad. I never viewed it. I think it a bad idea in the first place without the murder of Reeva Steenkamp. That it happened is now a horrific coincidence. Pistorius probably has no more control over the site any more. He must be held accountable for this crime first.

Gun talk has seeped into every corner of our daily speech. We pull the trigger on a deal; we ask if this solution is a magic bullet; we set our sights on something; we come out with both barrels blazing. When challenged we stick to our guns; when pressured we're under the gun. When we're ready we lock and load. Perps are caught holding the smoking gun. No one held a gun to her head.
