This is the just the newest gambit in a very old game. I'd really be interested in knowing how much the USA is hacking and probing Chinese institutions. Because we obviously are.
The silence of the Chinese on this issue tells me we are hitting them and leaving little evidence, or we are hitting them and the government refuses to acknowledge their inability to stop us.

Of course the Chinese Army isn't doing the hacking. They contract that stuff out, like everyone else.

But then. . . . .events become murkier as we look deep into the backgrounds of the company which published that report, Mandiant.

So those involved with promoting, and actually doing, the offshoring of jobs, technology and investment to China, now want to foment war with China??????

Jesus, was the block quote manually retyped? The NYT is by no means immune to copy edit fails, but it's hard to believe something that thoroughly riddled with obvious typos and word and phrase omissions would have ever gone live.
(Needless to say, the NYT article text as currently posted doesn't match the quote in the Slog post.)
