This is why the idea that spam has been "solved" is ridiculous. The filters which are used to detect and delete spam are a constant headache capturing many false positives.

Read the article. The process by which the phrase was isolated is pretty cool and it gives a deeper understanding of how it censors discussions of "barely legal teen" of any kind, even a critique or a movie script. Wonder what the other phrases are?

Speaking of which, has anyone else found themselves laughing out loud at that Outlook TV ad when the guy blurts out "why do you think we're having financial troubles?!"

On a related note, Iceland has banned printed porn and is getting set to filter all internet connections to remove it from computers as well, though plenty of people hate the idea and others wonder how effective it could possibly be:

DouginSF dear, I know exactly what you mean. It reminds me of the ad for fixmypc (or something to that effect) that takes place in a flower shop. That ad has the worst acting this side of porn (and both the actors look like porn actors on a side job)
Speaking of porn, I watch a dreadful amount of it on Apple products, but if they can spare me all the emails for it, it's not going to bother me.

More and more, Apple is becoming the Orwellian company they made fun of 29 years ago.
@9 Yeah, funny how a year ago everyone was raving about how awesome Iceland was in dealing with their banking problems and having citizens re-write their constitution (power to the people!), only to have them attempt to ban all forms of porn. This in addition to the fact that parents cant name their children unless its from an approved list of names.

@11 I wouldn't worry about Iceland. It's one of the most educated and literate places on earth. They're proud of their language and culture, but they also reach out and touch the rest of the world at will. I seriously doubt there's anyone over the age of 10 who hasn't already figured out how to pirate shit through proxy servers.

Now, an approved list of children's names is something I could totally get behind. Too many children are being burdened with awful names by parents who desperately wish to show how clever (or arty or religious) they believe they are.

Ironically, the Apple operating system is a much safer tool for browsing the most questionable of sites compared to the competition's offering.
