Rep. Tom Rooney: Pythons Need to Be Stopped

Snark aside, it's pretty scary to hear stories and see pictures from Florida about the damage escaped pythons are doing. And they could potentially adapt to the climate in a large portion of the U.S. Crikey!

I think Rep. Rooney is greatly exaggerating the threat posed by Pythons. To my knowledge, Mssrs. Cleese, Idle, Jones & Palin have never caused anywhere near the damage he's claiming, the death of one cheese shop owner, a giant extraterrestrial blancmange, and the horrible mutilation of one medieval knight notwithstanding.
Mr. Gilliam, on the other hand, based on "Tideland" alone poses a clear and present danger to the citizens of this country. Unfortunately, he also happens to BE a citizen of this country, so keeping him out of it may be somewhat problematic.
