Now, anything can be fetishwear if your honey gets hot and bothered for it. But when we speak of fetish clothing, we're usually talking about leather, latex, and PVC (vinyl). Seattle is not a big dressing-up town, but here is a rundown of where I usually look for kinky clothes. (Note: They all sell men's clothes, too.)

My Top Three....

Crypt Off Broadway, 113 10th Ave E. Good selection of mostly clubwear, some leather, and lots of cool pants made of fabrics not found in nature. Very reasonable prices. Say hi to Michael.

Metro Clothing, 231 Broadway E. They have a lot of PVC, some of it clubwear, and some of it more likely to be private-party gear, unless you're a stripper. They have shoes and boots, too, and I also saw some latex clothing last time I was in. The extra-loud music is distracting, though, and the lighting is terrible.

Fantasy Unlimited, 2027 Westlake Ave. This is a store for the rich and the thin--if you are over size eight, or you're on a budget, forget it. But they do have the coolest clubwear, kinky lingerie, leather, and latex clothes. And they're open 24 hours, which I love.

Other options:

Experience, 912 Alaskan Way. Think shoes--lots of sexy shoes, and boots.

Hot Topic, Broadway Market. Clubwear and shoes--not a big selection, but great prices, especially on boots. Say hi to Hannah.

Amour on the Boulevard, 5301 Southcenter Blvd. It's a drive, but they have a good selection of lingerie, both regular and plus sizes, and they have large sizes for cross-dressing boys.

Castle Superstore, 613 Fairview Ave. The one rack of women's PVC is pretty cheesy. But there's a decent selection of "Leg Avenue" stockings and bodysuits, including plus sizes. And open 24 hours, which rocks.

www.girdlebound.com. Good quality vintage-style girdles, longline bras, and body shapers--very Bettie Page. A wide range of sizes, and quite reasonably priced.

And locally, fabulous clothing designer Orion Excalibur of One Wilde Knight makes me my most head-spinning, show-stopping fetishy outfits. For corsets, leatherwork, or anything else, custom made, call 206-325-6833 or visit onewildeknight.com
