Based on the writings of neuroscientist, psychonaut, and dolphin-communicator John C. Lilly, this 1980 film is rich with visuals, including a ayahuasca–ish ceremony and resulting hallucination. Yeah, this is a little #mainstream, but so what. The poster for this event looks like a cross between a yoga studio catalog and a promo flyer for a rave, and the concert's title is "Snoop's Wellness Retreat," which invites one to wonder: Is Snoop planning a second reincarnation as a dietician, personal trainer, or holistic life coach? Third Annual Dope Cup
Hosted by DOPE magazine (did you know that DOPE, in this context, stands for Defending Our Plant Everywhere? You probably did, but I didn't!), this is a tournament-style competition between various strains of weed for supremacy in various categories, including highest THC, highest CBD, and people's choice. 'Fantastic Planet'
This haunting and truly bizarre French animated sci-fi from 1973 displays a technical mastery and consistency of vision that makes lesser psychedelic cartoons look like the projects of well-meaning high-school stoners. Here it's presented on 35 mm and ornamented with live musical accompaniment from the Seattle psych-rock group Master Musicians of Bukkake. Seattle Hempfest 420Fest

Seattle's biggest regular cannabis farmers market is located in White Center and open every Tuesday to Saturday. At this event, the vendors will be out in full force, with a party to boot, so it's the perfect time to check the place out if you haven't already.
