THURSDAY 6/5

STUDIO 4/4 IMPORTS TECHNO/HOUSE TITANS STEFFI AND FUNK D'VOID

When a resident DJ from Berlin's Panorama Bar ventures into your area for a gig, it's a good idea to make sure you attend it. Such is the case tonight, as Steffi, a Dutch-born producer, DJ, and owner of the Klakson and Dolly labels, commandeers Q's majestic DJ booth. At Panorama, selectors have to keep some of the world's most discerning clubbers moving, and judging from the mixes I've heard by her, Steffi's trippy and libidinous techno/house selections trigger synapses just right. Her 2011 album on Ostgut Ton, Yours & Mine, melds Detroit techno's futuristic thrust and Chicago house's nocturnal soulfulness into a classy all-night glide. Veteran Scottish producer/DJ Funk D'Void (aka Lars Sandberg) has been creating meaty, big-room techno and acidic house for about 19 years. He knows what he's doing. Q Nightclub, 9 pm, $12 adv, 21+.

FRIDAY 6/6

BONKERS! HEADS FOR OBLIVION IN STYLE

Sadly, the second phase of Bonkers! is ending. After a few-year hiatus, the freewheeling, left-field electronic monthly came back in January, but attendance wasn't where it should be, so Ian Scot Price and his loyal crew are folding and will focus on special one-off events. This final Bonkers! features residents Naturebot, Eric Moon, Retrig, and Neuro-Statique, all of whom embody the idiosyncratic, wild creativity that this event has fostered over the years. This loaded bill also includes Portland's Proqxis (super-intricate, glitchy IDM), Seattle enigma Algebra of Need (highest of highbrow electronic composition—disorienting, madly dynamic, and oddly beautiful in equal measure), and Air Jackson (a baffling mix of emo-electro pop and ambient). Bonkers! is fading out in style. Keep your eyes peeled for Price's future moves, as he invariably books exciting maverick talent on which nobody else wants to take a chance. Re-bar, 10 pm–3 am, 21+.

SATURDAY 6/7

KYLE GEIGER'S ĂśBER-FUNCTIONAL MINIMAL TECHNO

Kyle Geiger is yet another American techno producer who migrated to Berlin, where his kind of music is worshiped and an electronic musician can live with a modicum of dignity. In that hypercompetitive German milieu, Geiger thrives with a deadly serious strain of minimal techno that balances über-functional danceability with mesmerism. We salute any DJ or producer who can keep the vibe pummeling, cerebral, and hypnotic at the same time. Go hear "Big Orange" for proof. The +Plus crew comes through again. With John Massey, Miss Shelrawka, and Sone. Kremwerk, 9 pm–4 am, $10, 21+. recommended
