In Pioneer Square's impossibly vast Fadó Irish Pub, a different room materializes, somewhat unsettlingly, at every turn. Whimsical corporate knickknacks, from standard tavern décor (framed sports jerseys, decorative antique tins) to vaguely bizarre rummage (a full-sized canoe, a ceramic Irish setter), clutter the shelves and ceilings, and an eerily deserted cottage-kitchen mock-up rests in the center, with vintage cookware and archaic woodcutting tools haphazardly affixed to its walls. Afternoons find Fadó's booths filled with enrapt professionals who come for the casual business-meeting atmosphere and stay for the happy hour, which brings $3 pints of Alaskan IPA and $2.95 pub-grub appetizers. (Fadó Irish Pub, 801 First Ave, 264-2700. Happy hour Mon—Fri 4—7 pm.)
