Bad Art? 1,000 Birch Board Pictures from Sweden is the world's largest collection of painted birch boards. Individually, these souvenir slabs of wood dating back to the early 20th century are little more than cheap and kitschy nostalgia bombs. But the curators use the glut of them to create arrangements that draw out themes, the pure charm of the trove, and to just make you laugh.
