"In apartheid-era South Africa, a man comes home and finds his wife cheating. The lover jumps out the window and the husband levies a punishment—she must treat her lover’s suit as an honored guest, singing to it, trying to feed it, taking it on walks. The Suit is based on a short story by Can Themba, who adapter Peter Brook compares to Chekhov in his ability to make small, domestic scenes reverberate with much larger forces. Brook is a titan in the theater world, perhaps one of the most influential directors alive—expect to see the theater packed with artists and devotees." (Brendan Kiley)
