Why 4 Star

You can't get a five star rating if you allow the use of cell phones and text messaging at the diners' tables.

Chef's Selection Menu

Chef Walter Pisano selected a five course dinner with wine pairings for my wife and I. With some of the "resting" servings it ended up being seven selections each with their own wine. The selections were French and ran from duck to rabbit. The service was exceptional and Jeff Carmack, Sous Chef, came to our table and described the ingrediants and preparation of each course. It was a luxurious evening. We're heading back in January

How can bad pasta cost so much?

My friend had a salad which consisted of six leaves of endive and my pasta was a gluey mass. Don't waste 40 dollars on this place!

Sit in the bar

The food at Tulio is excellent. The portions are not too big but easily filling. If you're at all inclined towards brown liquors, sit in the bar. One of the better selections of single malt scotches and bourbons in Seattle. They have a great bartender; it's typically easy to get a seat at one of the tables or at the bar and you can order from the full menu.

You want to go to Tulio AGAIN? Yes, please.

Tulio is the best Italian restaurant at which I have dined, and it is hands down my favorite restaurant in Seattle. The food, ambiance and service are so consistently wonderful that it has become to me like the friend you always rely on when you need comfort or grounding. Sure, you might have an occasional fling with the likes of Lola or Etta (and these are the most delectable of mistresses), or you might pick a different lunchtime companion (like 94 Stewart), but you always find yourself pining for Tulio when your stomach feels its emptiest. Not in the mood for Italian? Head to Sazerac for some wonderful soul food or grab a burger at Dick's. Tulio knows you'll be back. Again and again.
