amazing in every way

I live on the edge of the CD and the ID, and am lucky enough to live a few blocks from dozens of Chinese (and other Asian) restaurants, and the improbably named Seven Stars Peppers is at the top of my list. Everything said here is true, and I have to add that I've never ordered anything without having half left over, making their already-low prices even more of a bargain.

The other day, I was in the mood for egg foo young, so SSP was where I headed. Instead of asking for a menu, I just told them that I was hoping they had egg foo young. They seated me and soon I was eating the best damn e.f.y. I've ever had. Since I was alone and wanted something to do while I ate and perused the menu to entertain myself. Lo and behold, e.f.y. wasn't anywhere to be found on the menu; they'd whipped it up just for me! Not only is their food tops, they're obviously eager to please, and they're doing a great job of it.

7 Stars RULES

This is the best Szechuan Restaurant in Washington, and probably the West Coast. You have to try it. It is fast, clean and inexpensive.

You're picking a winner

I heartily concur. Hopefully you get a table right away at lunch or on weekends; there can be a wait. The Dan Dan rocks, and I'll add Dried Cooked String Bean, Bamboo Shoots in Hot Oil and your choice of Ginger Crab or Szechuan Crab. Then again, you can just pick things you haven't had yet each time you go -- they might all be on the voluminous special board.

Perfect for take out

I don't know why but the chow from 7star just tastes better when it comes out of a box. It's pretty good there but still. Either way one of the top Chinese restaurants in the city.

Dan Dan is the best best!

Many things at Seven Star Pepper are outstanding; however, the Dan Dan (with hand-shaved noodles) is so good that it makes me "happy in my pants."
