Sun-right Cafe!

I like breakfast at this place. It's very reasonably priced, and delicious! It's nice to get breakfast on the cheaper side and not feel like your arteries are clogged up by the time you're paying the bill. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. I only wish they served meat. [sigh]

friendly and wholesome

The Sunlight seems to be a rarity among restaurants in town, in that doesn't rely on large amounts of butter or cream to make its entrees work. I can eat there without feeling that it's an indulgence that I must offset somehow. For breakfast, split a fruit salad with a friend when you're having your sesame waffle. For dinner, lots of options are good, from the simple vegetable-tofu saute (although you can complicate it with peanut sauce) to the extravagant vegetarian lasagna, a riot of cheese, tomato sauce, and pasta that includes a few token slices of carrot and zucchini to remind you of where you are. If you get a salad, try their signaure lemon-tahini dressing. As for beverages, I like the fruit smoothies and their yogi tea, but you can get beer and wine, or something from the espresso bar, as well. Overall, a mellow and unpretentious place with good food. Don't go there if you're in a hurry, but reflect upon the error of your ways, that you should desire to rush your meal so.

Healthy and tasty

Tired of restaurants that don't care about your health? Here is a tasty alternative with whole grain options and good home cooking mom would be proud of. I love the nut burger and the waffle. I care about what I eat and this place makes some effort to help.

!!!!

Best veggie burger in Seattle. Period. A great vegetarian restaurant for those who need comfort food. The waffle is also worth mentioning. A tour deforce with blueberries and maple syrup. Not anywhere as good as Cafe Flora or Carmelita but those two are more fine dining experiences and should not be compared to the Sunlight. The people can be a mixed bag but the employees and service has always been between fine and great.

Great Food, Great Ambiance

Sunlight Cafe is a quaint and cozy restaurant specializing in down-home comfort food for vegetarians and omnivores alike. You must try the sweet potato tofu cakes that are accompanied by a delicious Asian vinaigrette and slaw salad. Also don't miss the veggie nutburger. It is the best veggie burger I've ever had!
