  • Seattle's two Prost!s—it means "cheers," specifically for beer, in German—are like miniature beer halls. Their brief German menus skew toward the absorptive—the slow-cooked rippchen mit sauerkraut is a must—and a dizzying number of German imports are on tap at the bar. And along with proper glassware for each beer and steins galore, there's the legendary Boot: a two-liter vessel for the committed or gigantic beer drinker. Prost!

German beers, a few items like pretzels and sausages for noshing but the place really went down hill when they moved the back wall in about 30 ft. and now the whole place smells like an outhouse mop bucket.

The best German beer in town can be found at Prost. The bar has been remodeled but don't fear...Prost hasn't changed a bit. Prost showcases a full menu of german food to enjoy while getting your drink on. Plus there popular drink "The Boot" can provide enough fun for a group of drinkers.

Zehr Guht!

One of my favorite neighborhood bars, this place is all about German beer. Most of the beer is on tap, which is a plus, and they use the appropriate glass for the different types of beer that they serve. I usually go with one of the Spaten or Franziskaner choices - try the Optimator if you like dunkle (dark) beer. On top of that, they recently refurbished the bar, which added more tables and gave it a classier look. The service can be a bit slow when it's busy, but once you get your hands on a 0.5 L of German keg beer, it's totally worth it.
