Notice to those of you who don't know - this place moved to Third and Cherry downtown, should be opening back up next week.

This place is closed due to Sound Transit construction right? Do they have a new location?

I live in Gtown

I love there Borscht. The beef and cheese piroshkis is so good and filling. I really love stopping in at this place when I'm on the hill. Never had a bad experiance. Yummy!

Sooooo good

Holy crap this is good. My friends and I couldn't even sit together the last time we stopped by but I so didn't even care. I was too busy making yummy noises at my spinach and mushroom doughy pocket of goodness to talk to them anyway. It's totally worth whatever abuse you may get from the staff. I'd take a punch to the nose for free Piroshki Piroshki.

Fantastic! Especially Borsht and Cherry Pierogies

I eat at every Russian place I can find, and this one is the best. The Piroshky is very good, but where they really stand out is with the borsht - it's excellant. In addition, the cherry pierogies are out of this world. Ordering those is hit and miss - they run out a lot. In addition, the place is quiet, clean and comfortable, with plenty of places to sit. These are all problems at Piroshky Piroshky in Pike's Place.

Mmmm...Piroshki *drool*

The only times I've had anything less than a heavenly time here is when the Surly Matriarch isn't behind the register. The very first time I walked in, she informed me that she had just turned out a fresh batch of Beef & Cheese and that I was going to be dining on that. Before I could open my mouth to say anything, she'd already rung up the order and was waiting for payment. After devouring the first one, I jumped back in line to order a second one. Everything (EVERYTHING) on the menu is fantastic.

That fucking woman

Once I had to sneak pieces of chicken out in a napkin so the owner wouldn't rip my head off for not finishing my meal. Another time she made fun of me for being short. Damn, their stroganoff is good.

Fantastic

I eat here at least once a week but the truth is that I could probably eat here every day and not be sick of it. Everything is good including the lunch specials and desserts. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Get Some Borscht With That Piroshky

The best part about my first trip was when I didn't finish my borscht (due to being stuffed silly with borscht and two piroshkies) the matriarchal Russian proprietor came by my table and demanded to know "What is wrong with borscht juice?" so I sat up straight and ate it like a good little boy.

this IS the best piroski in Seattle.

i LOVE this place. borsch w/ sour cream... so so sooooo good. the owner's son runs the place on madison.. but it's just not the same. i need to be harrassed by Alla to fully enjoy my meal. my favorite is anything with cheese. AND? they have a punch card. a punch card. why can't all my favorite restaurants adopt to this clever little incentive system?

Everything is Good

I've tried at least have of their Piroshkis and almost as many of their baked goods and have never once been let down. For a unique treat, try the salmon cream-cheese. Wonderful.
