Awesome Happy Hour!

I'm loving the $5 Martinis and the pulled pork sliders! The rest is the same; friendly service, great location, great atmosphere, good food, great drinks. What else is there? Everytime I go I have a great time. Love the music. A wide variety of bands circle thru. A real mix of what the Seattle music scene has to offer

ethics and professionalism lacking

watch your tab in this place. i and a group of about 12 had food and drinks and as the tab showed up we were told to simply put our initials next to what we were responsible for to include with our payment. i don't normally go over my tab but noticed mine was about 20% higher than it should be. the server explained that the tab was not covered entirely so she simply put the remaining balance on my card. never said a word to me about it. she now explained that this is just "what they do." the manager approached (a glorified bar tender) and made it clear he was only going to back his server. they were both speaking to me at once, which was a lot of fun for our group and anyone at an adjacent table. when i explained that this was the equivilent of fraud and theft, the guy actually asked me to not come back. i emailed the owner who responded with a canned "there was confusion, we strive to offer excellent service" i then asked him to explain what he understood the confusion to be as it was a blatant scenario to me. he never responded. i was refunded my entire tab, which i left the discrepancy as cash in a tip. it wasn't about the money, it was about being taken advantage of. i do business in the QA area, i will never entertain a client there.

my new hangout

I never went into the paragon because I had heard stories of "if you couldn't get laid at the Paragon, you couldn't get laid" But I moved to the top of queen anne and lived so close I had to try it. It's comfy, the bartenders are cool, and the drinks were stiff. What's not to like? The band was even alright... it was tuesday and we had a hard time finding a seat... it was packed. Since then I have been back a lot It's better than hanging out in Fremont and getting hit on by frat assholes or watch girls do coke off the back of a toilet in Belltown...
