Unlike its strip-mall competitors, Seattle Deli inhabits a sort of freestanding, shiny cube, kind of like that Taco Time of the Future in Wallingford. Seattle Deli offers an impressive collection of extras: bubble tea, pastries, coconut-milk-based treats, and stratified jellies in cups. As for the banh mi, the sandwich that you've no doubt come here for: It is good. The pork version has meat both dark and sweet, with hefty wedges of cucumber and clinging jalapeño heat.

Glorious Sandwich

I moved to Boston 2 years ago and I still dream about The Seattle Deli!! The BBQ pork is as good any mind blowing sexual adventures Dan Savage could think of. If I even visit Seattle, my first meal will be at the Seattle Deli The Greatest Mind Blowing Orgasm Inducing sandwich in the world!
