underwhelming

between a burger and a side of fries, you end up paying a pretty penny here. i bought dinner for two (one burger and side of fries for each) and hit $25, and that's with both of us drinking waters. as for the food, the burgers are incredibly mediocre. it's basically a bunch of half-trained college students tossing cheap pre-made supermarket patties on a grill. it tastes like something you could make at home for $2. everything is low-overhead, and it feels like you're eating in a cafeteria. it also tastes like it, but your wallet will certainly disagree. for the price, go to red robin's and get something gourmet.

Pinapple teriakyi is the way to go

I dig this place. Not as good as Red Mill, but you can make to order. half the toppings are free and the curly fries kick it. Like I said, pinapple with teriakyi sauce and grilled onlions, throw in a tomato...delish

Not so good...

Bland burgers, no better than a Jumbo Jack, at 4 times the cost. Does remind me of elementary school cafeteria burgers, but not in a good, nostalgic way.

Consistently Good

My favorite burger joint on the Ave. These guys can execute. Always high quality burgers with fresh toppings, and the fries are great. The restaurant is always clean, which is uncommon for burger places, or any lunch place in the U-District.

One of my favorites

I can't believe these reviews. The burgers are Fantastic! Not to mention they start at $3. Not a bad price at all. You get to build your own burger and it's damn cheap. Free WiFi too. Quick service. Loooove this place.

Worst Burger Ever

If you like your burgers the way they were made in your public school cafeteria then this is the place for you. The white iceberg lettuce is the icing on the cake. Seriously--this place has the worst burgers I've had in Seattle and some of the worst burgers I've ever had. They are bland and dry. And you have to wait a long time to get them too. And with all the other options of places to eat on the ave--why, why why?

Build your own burger

I like how you can tell them exactly what you want on your burger and they get it right every time. Good onion rings too.

Pricey but fresh and alright

I come here a lot. They upped a prices a little, but only like 25-50 cents for particular items. Expect to pay $6-8 for a burger and fries, and that's if you don't order a drink (water is free and easily accessible via the soda spigots). Orders are cooked and served relatively quickly for a sit-down joint. The shiny hardwood tables and floors gives the place a cleaner feel. Their big screen TV usually has something annoying on like CNN or major network TV fare. If no one's adamant about watching what's on, though, they may let you change it on request. The ingredients are fresh, though the burgers are dripping with oil when you get them. They pile up the fries, yet a burger and fries may not necessarily leave you feeling full. That could be a good thing.
