Consistently delicious

We eat here quite often because we always get the same quality, which you don't always get from restaurants. I've ordered several things on the menu and I recommend: Al Pastor burrito or taco, Fish burrito or taco, and definitely the Chile Verde Burrito (stewed pork in chile verde smothered in chile verde sauce)

West Seattle!

The first review is right, I've tried a couple of locations, and I stick with the West Seattle site. Get a "wet" burrito, lotsa flavor, served quick, not the BEST salsa bar in town (Queen Anne Blue Water Taqueria for that), and hey, they have tongue! (Don't cringe, it's WAY better than you would think).

Depends on Which One You're At

Every Guaymas is different -- very different. Some are little more than taco stands; others are sit-down restaurants with plastic menus, others are both. The one in Lynnwood sucks; the one in Smokey Point is pretty good; the one in Marysville is AWESOME. The ones in Cap Hill and Green Lake are only good in comparison with the Mexican alternatives, like the DREADFUL Taco Del Mar. All in all, only so-so -- but compared to anyplace in Seattle fifteen years ago, A .

good but wish the tortillas were better

always seem a little stiff or stale or something - but these are fine burritos when you need your quick convenient fix

dios mio, el borracho grande

before they moved down broadway, i visited guayamas one night in hopes of getting a quick burrito. what ensued was quite possibly one of the most incredible (and time-consuming) experiences i've ever had in a food establishment - not in a good way. the guy working the register was so drunk he could barely open his eyes or tie his shoes. you could literally smell the booze across the counter, and he dropped several times pretty much everything he picked up. initially, i was impressed. things went south very quickly when i gave him my credit card to pay for the burrito. somehow he fucked up punching the total in on the credit card machine, and added $100 extra to the bill. when i showed him the error, he first refused to accept that perhaps a bean burrito does not usually cost $104. next, he offered to give me $100 cash to cover the difference. that not being exactly the disposition i was after, he finally spent, i shit you not, greater than 15 minutes trying to correct the transaction on the credit card machine. losing my patience, i finally asked him to let me behind the counter and i matched up the transaction id from the receipt he gave me to the transaction stuck in the machine, corrected the amount, and printed and signed the receipt while he stood there swaying back and forth. i'd recommend going to guayamas only if you're drunk, incompetent, and looking for a job.

Guaymas You Be So Good?

Ohhh, the chicken flautas call to me at least once a week. The regular carnitas burritos also beckon. Guay? Guay? Is it the salsa fresca bar? Is it la musica? Or is it because you are tasty, fast, and consistent?
