mmmmm.... beer

Happy hour is busy, all appetizers are $5 including pizzas, good mixed crowd. The beer here is above average to fantastic, always rotating special taps but all brewed on premise. Cheers.

Servers by law must check ids of drinkers - the inconvenience is understood but the liability is downright dangerous to business and more importantly the public safety.

Happy Hour

I'm a bartender at the Rock Bottom downtown and I just wanted to let everyone know that the information that the Stranger has for their happy hour is incorrect. Rock Bottom's happy hour is monday thru friday from 3-6. We have $3 pints, house wine, well drinks and some specialty cocktails. We also have a bunch of appetizers that are only $3 including flatbread pizzas and nachos. Come down and join us some time. The patio should be open as soon as the sun comes out!!

Above average chain

I come here all the tiem with my coworkers and about half the waitstaff recognizes us now. The servers we like usually remember exactly what we like to drink (try the Raincity Red if you like ambers. It puts Mac & Jack's to shame). There are a couple of servers there who can be downright rude. A fact we found out last month when a bunch of us went for a celebration. Our server tore into my friend because she didn't have her ID out fast enough when she ordered a drink. She also told me that, in no uncertain terms, I could not order two drinks at once. I tried to explain that is was for one of the other people there (who was in the bathroom at that moment) but she would have none of it and informed me that he could order his own drink when he returned. So much for trying to buy someone a drink. Aside from the sometimes curt service, the food is above average and the atmosphere is relaxed.

I ate there

Basic food good beer. I got just what I expected at a chain restaurant. Do not look for more.

Not cool enough for you?

Egads, it's a chain restaurant! Above average food. Great place to meet after work if you don't have to be "seen." Quiet, low key. The mixed drinks are strong. The people are middle America.
