Ballard location is extremely disappointing.
Surly waitstaff, cramped environment, dark. Food was overpriced and mediocre at best.
Go to De Nunzios in Pioneer square before going here.

I found this place to have a relaxing and romantic atmosphere, excellent service and awesome food. I agree, a great date spot. I went on a Saturday night and I was surprised we didn't have to wait at all.

Yes, definitely a great place for a date, very romantic with the candlelight and dimmed lighting. The food is fantastic here, I keep coming back for the fabulous crab stuffed manicotti and tiramisu. The staff is very personable - occasionally the chef will even come out to see how you like the food. Weekends can be busy (and louder), try weeknights instead. Definitely recommended.

In a city filled with mediocre Italo-American joints that are barely better than Olive Garden, this stands out. It's not cutting edge or anything, but the food is always very good, very fresh, very well made. And the former house it's in is , as the review says, romantic and charming. It IS a great date spot.
