They Sell Vegemite! Yeeeessss!!!

Oh, this place is wonderful. It is really small and sparsely decorated, but even walking in, it has a distinctly strong Australian flair. They make their own fresh meat pies, and they have quite a good variety of them. I like the meat & mushroom pies the best, but they do sell veg pies too for the non-meat-eaters. You can order frozen meat pies to take home and enjoy later, so just in case the trek is too long to make that often, you can stock up on meaty goodness. And try the mashed potatoes.... yum! They are a huge serving; my friend and I split an order and were stuffed after that and a meat pie. I also tried a Lamington and was pleased to see that it was very similar to the kind my mom used to make. I can't say enough about this place... small, cool decor, family-friendly, great food, nice staff (the girl who served us was really sweet), and they sell some authentic Aussie stuff like Vegemite (which is next to impossible to find in the States anymore).

A taste of Home!!!

I work for a New Zealander and sent her over to taste the wares...she came back with her head in the heavens and happy! She also bought out the place to take over to her family in eastern washington. My own experience was much like hers...awesome! A must-eat place in a nice little burb that has a whole passle of great little joints to eat!
