So Bad

I had one of the worst meals ever at Bacco. The menu is not all that exciting and the crab dish I ordered had almost no crab in it. My friend ordered his dish medium and it came out rare so he returned it. 10 minutes later, the same piece of meat came out well-done.

Charged half price for a returned dish

All I have to say is, Eggs Benedict, eggs were hard and not even close to soft, returned the dish, not able to wait 15min for a new one and decided to share a friends dish instead. Bacco wanted to charge half price for a dish they failed to make well, at $13. The reason for the charge….”You ate some of it”. Eaten was, one piece of the home fries before diving into the Benedict. Confronted the manager about the bill and he would not back down and a wait staff yells “Hey bubby, you need to pay for that!” and "I can call you whatever I want" says the waiter. It’s offending at all levels, food quality, price, service and good moral understanding. Especially when this was not mentioned until the bill came with no warning. 5 pieces of home fires were mediocre and one piece of home fry was not worth paying $6.50. Where was the moral logic to that charge and behavior? There was no disclaimer at the bottom of the menu that stated customer(s) will be charged half price on returns. It was more disappointing both the manager and wait staff did not see the ridiculousness in their request and that was just plain sad.

Perfect!

There were three of us ready to find a quick place to stop in and grab a quick bite for dinner (maybe even a glass of wine.) We found Bacco on our journey to Belltown and stopped in. After ordering 3 glasses of their Happy Hour wine and an appetizer, we decided to stay there for dinner and invite our friends to join us there rather than our previously designated spot. It was THE BEST!!! Great service without feeling like we were overwhelmed by the waiter. Their food is perfectly flavored. warm & Filling. And dessert was good too. (They serve this coffee complimentary with any dessert and it was heavenly!) Will continue to meet vthe girls there before considering any other spot along 1st Ave.

Mmmm tasty

Good hearty food that's neither too heavy nor too wimpy. The sandwiches are excellent, although nothing makes them particulary unique. The service is speedy. The lower cafe seems a better choice as not as many people notice it.
