the Stranger recommends this place? Really?

I've been here a few times on a few different club nights and every one of them has been an awful expereince (except meeting my now amazing girlfriend, but we connected on a mutual hatred for the club) The DJs are bad, the drinks are horrible. The service was average but the staff should know what they are serving. Vodka+tonics were not good. (How do you screw up a vodka and tonic?!?! and an orange garnish?) Sorry this place should go out of business to save people from paying for overpriced drinks that they could get out of the gutter.

Long line, rude staff

The place feels like a cash grab. They want to let in the line, collect new cover and more drink money. Pesky fire code. As a result, bouncers are aggressive, trying to keep the crowd inside rotating. Well, rotating just enough to keep that line long, so the place looks attractive. I’ve never felt so unwelcome and rarely witness such domineering security. I do not plan to return.

When its on, its on!

Your best bet at Havana is during the week. The weekend crowd is a little rowdy and strange. Try HotelMotel on Tuesday nights for a killer dance party. The drinks are reasonable, the place is beautiful, and the staff is not only the most attractive and best dressed staff in town, but FRIENDLY to boot! What a concept!
