For all his good stances, the guy was a crook. Pushing legislation through congress supporting his partner's employer (Fanny Mae) was a definite conflict of interest. Especially when the circumstances surrounding his partner's hiring were pretty fucking dubious. As a liberal myself, and one who agrees with a lot of mr Frank's stances, I still have to say it's about fucking time he bowed out. Dirty politicians on both side of the aisle drove the economy into the shithole it's in now, and Barney Frank was one of the major players.
